Margin and Padding: A Story of Crows

We caught a crow.

We put our crow in a border cage.

The crow needs more room so we add padding to its border cage.

Another crow comes along. We put him in a cage, too.

The crows start pecking at each other. We give the cages some margin between them.

We decide to let the crows go.

Borders make our cages.
Padding creates space inside our cages.
Margins create space between our cages.
